Sweet memories

At December 23 2009 Edward Schillebeeckx passed away. Around Christmas we, members of the Edward Schillebeeckx Foundation, wish each other peace and love. But above all we share our memories of Edward. Each of us had a personal relationship with Edward. Edward was near to us all. Even in his last days, Edward had a clear mind. During Christmas, we remember more strongly our encounters with Edward. We have known a sharp and inspiring theologian and thinker. But above all, we experienced a warm, compassionate, and human Edward. We will cherish this.

Edward Schillebeeckx

At 12 November 2012, we remembered our namegiver. We are honoured to have known Edward. He was a moving and compasionate man, humble in character but great in his humanness. As Foundation, we try to keep his theology alive, but today we remember the human Edward. We keep alive the special moments we had with him. An enormous bouquet of flowers will color the house which was so valuable to Edward.
